About LemmeFindSM Meta Search
April 15, 2006
While the LemmeFindSM Meta Search Engine has been available on the Internet as a public-beta since December 2005, we have been concentrating all our effort on the technical and operational aspects and this has left us with no time to write about us.
In other words, we thought of first getting our act together in terms of creating a useful metasearch service that delivers relevant and well-formatted results before starting to shoot off our big mouth about us etc. J
As a consequence, this section is still heavily under construction.
Here is an outline of what is to come:

Update:
April 27, 2006
A UK-Specific version of LemmeFindSM Meta Search goes online today, on its independent domain http://www.lemmefind.co.uk.
LemmeFindSM UK Meta Search extracts the results from Google, Yahoo and MSN databases in such a way that they are from UK specific websites only. All the rest of the features of LemmeFindSM Global such as Duplicate Removal, Result Grouping and application of LemmeFindSM's proprietary ranking algorithm etc. remain the same and so does the uncluttered, no-nonsense layout of the result pages, sans any commercial listings or advertisements.

New features in the works at LemmeFindSM.com
Introduced in December, 2005, the current version of LemmeFindSM provides for a simple and regular, no-frills web meta search service. While this functionality, in our opinion, is adequate for most day-to-day web surfers-searchers, we have always recognized the need for more complex search functionality, typically of use to advanced users, academicians and researchers, librarians and others.
With this in mind, we've been planning for and developing many enhancements to LemmeFindSM meta search technology, to be rolled out - probably at different points in time - over the next few months.
Here are some of the new features scheduled for being introduced:
Regular Search Options:
*
To select the number of Results Displayed per Page
(10, 15, 25 etc.)
*
To search for different types of content
(Web pages, MP3, Images etc.)
Advanced Search Options:
*
To search using Boolean operators
*
To display the source engine - or engines - along with each result
*
To search for content types not covered in Regular Search
(PDF, Word - .doc, PowerPoint - .ppt etc.)
*
To display thumbnail images of the sites listed in the results
(This feature is coming up by May 11, 2006.)
*
... and more to come
Your suggestions:
Your turn now, if you're so inclined. Please do let us know what other features you'd like LemmeFindSM to have. While we can't promise that we shall develop or incorporate any suggested features, we do assure you that we highly appreciate your input and that we look at each suggestion carefully. Compare Search Engine Results
April 20, 2006
One of the Advanced Search features, internally named the LemmeFindSM Search-O-Scope, that we've been working on is a flavor of LemmeFindSM meta search service that lets you compare the results of Google, Yahoo and MSN, in the same browser window.
LemmeFindSM Search-O-Scope takes your search query and displays the actual, unaltered result pages of Google, Yahoo and MSN (or any combination of these three engines) in neatly staked vertical frames within the same browser window. (Screen Shot available below.) Scheduled release date for this is May 5, 2006.
Update: May 4, 2006
The Search-O-Scope version displaying unaltered Google, Yahoo and MSN result pages is live now:

In another, slightly more advanced avatar, LemmeFindSM Search-O-Scope, instead of directly displaying the actual result pages from the selected search engines, will first extract the results from the respective engines and then, display them in separate frames, using a uniform format and layout. This would make the comparison process a lot easier while the former version should satisfy the 'originality freaks', as it displays absolutely unaltered result pages from the selected engines.
