The SASS Drama Festival was created to heighten awareness and interest in theater education and to highlight student excellence in this curricular area. The St. Andrews Student Spotlight (SASS) is a daylong drama workshop and competition for Primary students in Years 4-6. The goal of this event is two-fold: to heighten awareness and interest in theater education and to highlight student excellence in this curricular area. Participation in this event allows students and teachers to utilize their talents and challenge themselves to integrate the performing arts into a hands-on learning experience that will stimulate imaginations and encourage the skillful art of risk-taking. This will be an annual event that aims to grow each year and include more schools and more levels of students. Awards will be presented, workshops offered and a professional performance will also be part of the fun!
